Are you a confident auctioneer with a passion for the automotive industry? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy sales environment? Aston Barclay, one of the UK’s leading vehicle remarketing companies, is looking for an experienced Group Auctioneer to join our dynamic Vehicle Sales team.

About the Role

As a Group Auctioneer, you’ll be at the heart of our sales operation, leading physical and digital vehicle auctions across multiple sites. You’ll play a key role in maximising sales performance, achieving conversion targets, and delivering exceptional customer experiences for both buyers and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct live and digital auction sales professionally and effectively.
• Maximise sales values, conversion rates, and cycle times across all sales channels.
• Undertake special e-live and event auctions when required.
• Carry out vehicle valuations and catalogue checks to ensure accurate listings.
• Manage provisional bids and post-sale conversions.
• Provide expert advice and support to internal and external stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, buyers, and partners.
• Develop and maintain a strong customer pipeline, identifying new business opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in vehicle auctioneering within the motor trade.
• Strong market awareness and up-to-date knowledge of vehicle makes, models, and values.
• Excellent sales, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Confident, professional, and self-motivated with strong organisational ability.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a high-performing team.
• IT literate and adaptable to digital auction platforms.
